Testimonials

An amazing teacher, well-versed in both the theory and practice of sexuality and spirituality, Steve inspires people to look deeply into themselves. He is profound and fun at the same time.

Rudy Ballentine, MD, Author of Radical Healing and The Essence of Tantric Sexuality

Steve has been a fellow traveller of mine for many years and I greatly respect and appreciate him for the values and vision by which he lives.

Matthew Fox, Author of Original Blessing and Founder of Creation Spirituality

There are few subjects that make people more uncomfortable than sex, and few people who can make it any easier to talk about. Steve Torma is one of those people. His love of nature, deep acceptance of others, intelligence and sense of humor make any time spent with him a pleasure and an opportunity.

Warren Grossman, Author of Healed by the Earth

I have a masters degree in Counseling and Psychology and I've never heard things put so clearly.

The following clients and participants would all be happy to speak with you.  If you'd like to talk to someone about their experience, just let us know and we'll send you their contact info.

I visited an old girlfriend last week. She had just finally gotten her divorce papers, six years and two kids after impulsively marrying a jerk who turned out to be just like her father. My first thought was, "if she'd only talked to Steve first..." I cannot recommend Steve more highly. He is incredibly non-threatening and nonjudgemental, completely compassionate yet skillful at what he does, which is to help people find out what they truly want and what keeps them from it. Don't take my word for it. Just call him. Ask him the most difficult question about something that's been plaguing you for months if not years. In just a couple minutes you will see what I mean.

Terrie Lewine helped change my life. Before I met her, I had so many misconceptions about relationships. At her workshops, I learned to recognize, acknowledge, and act on my true feelings. I met others with similar challenges. Terrie then coached me through my interactions with loved ones. I had a circle of friends to call on for support. Now my relationships are more meaningful, harmonious, and fulfilling. I am able to express myself in ways I did not think possible. I am forever grateful and glad I took this step for myself.

I think that Steve's work is an organic and authentic way to access the "wild" truth that exists in each of us, the truth that we were born with. I have seen him work with individuals in a group setting in a comfortable yet appropriately-challenging way. I have worked with him privately and with my husband and have experienced a profound "remembering" of who I am. To me, remembering our wild nature is the key to true health and happiness. Our culture works very hard to wear us down and train this out of us. Steve Torma's work gently clears away the cultural maya of our lives and clarifies personal experience.

I got more out of my first coaching session with Terrie than from several months with my therapist. Not only did I finally resolve long-standing issues, but I gained the courage and support I needed to listen to my intuition and do what I knew was right for me. As a coach and teacher, Terrie has great insight. She is kind, loving, compassionate, and nurturing. I highly recommend working with her.

Thank you Steve for your contribution to my revived relationship! I'm relieved to have additional tools to bring more ease and creativity to my partner and I's communicating and relating. For that I am profoundly appreciative.

Terrie's help doesn't feel like coaching. It feels like a good friend you've known your whole life just happens in with the best insight, humorously, over a constant cup of tea.

The work we have done with you has absolutely saved our marriage and raised our quality of life, love and connection profoundly.  We will continue singing your praises every chance we get and we rest assured that you will grow and grow in your endeavors with this teaching.  It is so clearly your calling.

I spoke with my mother recently about my childhood. The conversation was pretty loaded and her angry responses told me to back off. Thanks to NVC I was able to end the conversation with feelings and words of affection and gratitude. It is important for me to remember that NVC is not about changing people or their opinions, but getting our needs met while considering the needs of others. Thank you Steve for your invaluable lessons and for your assistance in escaping the black box!

[A month later:] I just enjoyed a pleasant holiday with family in large part thanks to the group and your teachings. I went into it with a very open and warm heart, still glowing from my experience with you and everyone in the group. I thought of you often. Your teaching style is unique and effective and your openness and warm heart are always evident and inspiring. I've come to truly appreciate the exercises that have helped me to open and feel a little less self-conscious. I look forward to meeting again in February. Just wish it were sooner!

[That Spring:] I had an experience with my mother recently in which we reached a level of relating and loving I had previously not thought possible. I was able to explain to her that I no longer wished to place limits on her with my beliefs regarding our early relationship. That she heard and understood this rocked my world. Our conversations this week have been like those between friends, sharing respect, honesty, and understanding. I have made a commitment to giving her my trust after learning how I have limited her and others with my thoughts. The world seems a bit more friendly lately, maybe because I am learning how to be a friend who listens rather than judges.

Steve, you are like the dad I wish I had. I will always pass on your name and teachings with respect, admiration and gratitude. You have much to offer this world and I am fortunate to have been one of the recipients of your gifts. Bless you and your shining heart light always.

The most visible creators I know of are those artists whose medium is life itself. The ones who express the unexpressible– without brush, hammer, clay or guitar. They neither paint nor sculpt. Their medium is being. Whatever their presence touches has increased life. They see and don't have to draw. They are the artists of being alive.
